The Problem With the Truss Argument
The Truss argument fails to grapple with the significant political and structural economic changes that have taken place in Britain over the last ten years. She's so stuck in the 80s in a way that it's kind of a bit red-land of parts of the Labour left at times. The conservative political coalition has itself become older, less metropolitan conservative voters partly as a result abreks it. So you can't just transpose a 1980s set of politics and economic ideas into 2019 or 2021. You have to engage with the politics and economics that you're in - and trust is stuck in the80s intellectually.
