The Expulsion of a Spartan King
In 476 BC, the Spartan king Lea Tkaidis led an expedition in Thessaly to punish the Alawaidai for their collaboration with the Persians. But he withdrew and when he returned to Sparta, he was tried for bribery. He fled to the Temple of Athena into Gia, and was sentenced to exile in Abstensia. His son Zuksadamis had passed away already, and so his grandson Archidamus II became the next Yuri-Ponted king of Sparta - ruling from 476 to 427 BC.
