Metallica's St. Anger from 2003 is one of the greatest music documentaries ever made. Michael Stipe very belatedly finally found himself as a showman on stage and was really compelling. The band went for this metallic tinny, yeah, it sounds like a garbage can or something. And they just committed to that sound.
