Until recently that mechanic has basically been you know something that an artist can do as a lower price point access thing for a bunch of people who perhaps can't afford to bid on a one-of-one piece of art. "I think in the last couple of years the figures that I recognized as the most prominent artists in the space are judged by how much a single piece of work sold for especially artists," he says."You almost have this networked billboard as a function of all of these people collecting your work and that is a much better place to start for somebody who's trying to get a story off the ground put their art out into the world."
