The Victory of Jesus Christ

Within the Old Testament there are multiple strands or ideas about how evil gets ultimately defeated. Jesus comes, he is handed over on our behalf. He intentionally puts himself in the place of a violent Jewish rebel against Rome to take responsibility for Israel's violence and all humanities violence. And so then the question becomes, but that consequence is humans doing violence to Jesus. So it's still human violence perpetrating the evil and God's wrath. And God takes responsibility.
