Dai Yu: A Novel About a Tragic Character
Jenny Teen Hui Zhang's debut novel is about a girl named Dai Yu. She says she has this complicated relationship with that name. The main character, Lin Dai Yu, comes from one of China's four great classic novels. "How can I escape the confines of my name?" asks Dai Yu.
