How Do You Begin to Engage Sexual Abuse?
I think at one level, the spirit of god was a niggling just pulling on my sleeve. And again, i wouldn't know for a long time that the issue was relevant to my own life. I am just too defensive and in some ways, not bright enough to have made that connection that early. By november, toward the end, like we've got maybe one or two weeks left in the academic semester, i started talking about sexual abuse. It was like it awakened in my students something i had not seen.
