A 48-year-old woman who's admitted to the hospital with RAPDO after running a marathon. Her creatinine has risen to five from a baseline of 0.8, her BUN is 150 and her potassium is 6.4. Dr. Lee: optimally we can get her to consent for the procedure before she becomes so uremic that she can no longer consent. We would try to get a temporary dialysis catheter placed in her.
