In contrast to both eastern and modern western views, there is this idea that we can all connect to the divine individually. The goal of nirvana is about your individual transcendence of your identity - you actually disconnect from everything. That's his whole point. You could say it's a horizontal view of god's salvationand that's what's happening here in the blessing of abraham. It's beautiful pn the bible. But i don't think i fully understand it actually.
