When the I am member of launched in 1972 we were selling them for ten thousand dollars a membership right and I brought one in his name and gave it to him as a way of repayment so years later when the I am em seat was selling for around four hundred million he never would accept. He wasn't a scalper in the pits or anything like that there were many that were very good what we called scalpers you know they buy and sell constantly during the course of the day and come out ahead a little bit but it adds up this guy was a position player of enormous sort, says Bob Merck.
