Manny Machado Signs an Extension
Manny Machado is going to get 11 years, $350 million. It's not really 11, 350 because he already had still left on his deal, six at 180. We would have taken 105 because there's no way you're going to have as good a season this year as he had last year. But you just got an extra 105 million plus 65. Don't take it yet. They never say we'll take it right now. Never in a negotiation when someone gives you a number. I loved calling the owner to tell him we got a player signed when there was no chance.
