Brett Val is the founder and CEO of Valtown, an app that lets users create their own personal data. He says he came up with the name on the spot after his daughter Amel used to call her functions by variable names like RTE or B-A-L. "I don't know how many people are in now," but there are over 500 people who message each other every day through a community called Discord. 'It's fun to have some really passionate users always pushing pushing the edges'
