The Myopic View of the World

I put so much pressure on myself to be good. I thought that if people noticed me on the footy field, then I was a good person. So driven by that, I just had no, it was all inward focus. It was all how are people observing me? What does this say about me? Which is where that selfish tag came from because I was so focused on what I was doing. And even Captain in 99 and 2000, I was still thinking that way. That was the way I started as a leader and it's just so ineffective. But when I tell this story, I know I'm being really harsh on Dad because this is just my recollections of it.
