Sally Kohn: It strikes me that we try not to primarily psychologize our political opponents. But it does strike me as a classic example of conservative projection in the sense that what they say about sort of partisans of a much more critical account of American history is that those people want to undermine their students' faith in American democracy, she says. Kohn: In a sense, I'm just saying that they're doing what they are accusing their opponents of doing. They teach a very narrow historical account of what the founding documents mean,. which can be disproven through the empirical project of history.
