Zhengjir Long's Triumph Over the Dutch
Zhengjir Long, head of the Shabbatjur pirate organization and scourge of the Ming dynasty navy, defected to the Ming in 1628. He profited beyond his wildest dreams from this act as he was set to be the richest man in China. Zhengjir Long's victory over the Dutch at the Battle of Liao-lo-pei in October 1633 made him a hero among Chinese people. In the 1640s, Zhengjir parlayed this victory for the Ming dynasty over the Dutch into even greater riches and glory. This empire that he passes on to Koshinga later on.
