Hedge Funds and the Economy
Hedge fund can play a very positive role in the economy for a number of reasons. Hedge funds tend to buy low and sell high so they tend to push prices in the right direction, making markets more efficient. They help to provide liquidity, make it easier to buy and sell for investors, make it easy for people to save for retirement. And so, of course, they take large fees and they keep a lot of the benefits for their own say too.
