The Rise and Fall of the Elites

The elites have gotten more powerful than I think a lot of people expected in a country that's supposed to be a democracy. So this is a recurring pattern in the rise and fall of civilizations. Once someone achieves elite status, it's, you know, they hold on to it and they do everything they can to pass that status on to their children or grandchildren. And so what happens is that as the elites reproduce, there are more and more elites hammering for smaller and smaller pieces of the pie. We need to zoom out and take a systemic view of what's happening right now in the United States because we don't get sucked into being foot soldiers for one elite faction or another.
