The Origins of Beer Fermentation
The oldest evidence found so far for beer fermentation was in the caves near Mount Karval and Israel. Golbeki Tepe might have been the Neolithic equivalent of a permanent Oktoberfest site. It would have been used seasonally for socializing with other nomad groups. This seasonal harvesting of wild grain might then have evolved into full-blown agriculture.
