Services like what's ap and telegram pride themselves on being very secure message ind services. But they use something called end to end incription, which means only the device that sends the message can read it. So if law enforcement comes to facebook and says, we want to know what this message was between these two devices, well, they can't. They can't give that information up because they don't have it. People who are privacy campaigners think this is a massive kind of potential for mission creepisonet.
