How to Balance Communication and Tech Skills in an Organization
I don't think people are very equipped in general, especially when they are moving from an IC role to a elite role. How do you balance out or cultivate these skills? Do you send them out for some training? Do you have in-house mentors or anything like that? I think you can do both. You can both send people out of house on a seminar to accelerate. But I also surely do, though, that whatever who is managing is manager of an area that they know something about and can then train it.
