Are the Creative Arts Feeling Safe?

Google's parent alphabet, Inc., is cutting about 12,000 jobs, or 6% of its workforce. This comes on the heels of a string of layoffs, something like almost 100,000 across the tech industry. Insiders are predicting that Google is going to come out with something big in the AI field this spring. And so that coupled with thousands of people being laid off has folks scratching their heads and humans who have human heads scratching those heads.
