The Late of Heaven

You've been very interested in Taoism and in Buddhism over your career. How do you see that influencing your writing? It goes so deep that it's hard to articulate for me, I'm not very good at analyzing my own writing. The Late of Heaven is the kind of obvious example of using a Taoist way of approach to life. Although I didn't use the the e-gene to write the book the way Phil Dick did to write The Man in the High Castle there's that sense of continuous change. To me if you want to say what story is about story is about change.
