Honeycomb's Service Level Objective: A Measure of Success

Honeycomb's product offers what's called a service level objective or an SLO. The idea is that it's a measure that gets computed over a particular interval as pass or fail. And so if you're like okay I have this operation I want it to succeed at a minimum 95% of the time over seven days. It calculates all right there's a there's a just based off of the amount of like events that come in. There's a number of failures that you're allowed before you've you sort of failed this service level objective. Yeah.
