I don't think it's so rude to say, where are your kids? If I'm out and someone said, where's Harry? I would just think that not rude, just dumb. It also depends on what the context is. The fact that she just didn't mean sports was extremely into the sun. Especially since Harry's supposed to be the British stiff upper lip and she's like a warm American.
