The USPG's Complicity in the Slave Trade
Peniel Rajkumar is the global theologian for the United Society of the Propagation of the Gospel. They're the missionary organization linked to the Anglican Church who owned and ran the slave plantation at the Cogington Estate for 120 years. We understand that USPG's complicity and having been direct beneficiaries of the slave trade is not something to be proud of, he says. So we are in the process of understanding our past.
