The Differences Between American and British Editors
The difference is that, and Britain what really matches is your accent. So if people are going to be judgmental about language, they're usually judgmental about spoken language. And so with grammar, there's a linguist named Colinda Pielier who's done some studies on how American editors and British editors work differently. They know their rules. Whereas British editors tend to edit by ear.
