"You're expected to kind of drive your own first 90-day plan," she says. "There should be a purpose for you to exist in the organization, but like you also should feel comfortable imposing your perspective on the organization ... You know it better than anyone else." If someone is unfamiliar with data space, do you have the energy to convince this person about the resources you're going to need? It's important to think about the stakeholders you're working with and get their buy-in.
