Thebes and Athens at a Great Peace Conference
Plutarch tells the story of Thebes, a city in Beosha that refused to join Athens' League. Platea's hubris saw them expel its citizens and raise the city to the ground. After eight years or so of war, Sparta invited key Greek figures for a peace conference. Agecilius is offering mostly the same terms as once before but then Epaminondas stands up speaking for Thebes.
