I was adopted and older parents and I had gone to school all of my life. They only wanted me to be happy. And he wouldn't let you work. He didn't want you to work outside the home. My mother thought that was terrible. So that, yes, it was a difference in lifestyle to be committed and responsible when I had been reared to behappy. It was like spending the night out.
