The Budget of Restraint
Treasurer Jim Chalmers has announced a review of the Reserve Bank. The Treasurer's term ends in September, and he may not reappoint Governor Philip Low. He is also facing some difficult decisions ahead of the budget next month. A trillion dollars worth of debt that they've inherited from the previous Government will be cut. But we can expect to see some relief - just not tied to inflation or cost of living.
