Is There a Global Hegemony of Liberalism?

Liberalism promises to produce a more peaceful world for people. How is liberalism any different than most other aggressive alternative takes on how we should all be doing things? Karl schmitt would say that when you take a step back, you take a second and truly consider the level of variance between the hopes and ambitions of liberalism and the reality of the political landscape.
