We do have this idea of journalism being objective and dant. In many cases, it represents very powerful financial and political interests. When a call from downing street persuades the times to drop that particular story. And we can see played out with the political attitudes of the son of the daily mail, of the telegraph. Yet when we have programms like what the papers say, theyare generally presented as neutral, objective presentations of fact. And they never have been that. I mean, i suppose the good thing iss that the downing street or the prime minister having a word with the times to pull a story is nothing new. It's been going on since the times was invented
