What Happened to the Stereo?

Everyone in the car was wide awake after this happened. The stereo just stopped and the car went silent. When we were driving past again, it rotated and shined a bright white light right at us. Then it simply backed up really quickly back into the cornfield, then shot up into the air,. That was it. And just like that, the single day trips to ela were a no go for all of us.
