The Pursuit of Net Zero in the Paris Agreement

The Paris agreement is a legally binding international treaty on climate change. It was adopted by 196 parties at the United Nations Climate Change Conference called COP 21 in Paris, France on December 12, 2015. Its overarching goal is to hold the increase in the global average temperature to well below two degrees centigrade above pre-industrial levels. The pursuit of net zero is precisely why farmers in Denmark are having their lands confiscated by the Dutch government for producing too much manure.
