If you were living in a society that had like optimized all of its forms of coordination so that everybody on every purpose was like coordinating as well as possible. In that world you wouldn't be allowed to think for yourself because instead of trying to think through something what you should think is the total product of your society thinking through that thing would be better than yours. He discusses financial markets as a prime example of a place that you should trust.
