Medical examiner's office concludes that, based on the items recovered and the amount of blood loss, jenifer sustained blunt force and or stabbing injuries which would have been fatal without medical intervention. The evidence against photus, at least, is entirely circumstantial. And the prosecution doesn't even have a murder weapon, let alone a body, which would necessitate more serious charges. Meanwhile, investigators are still searching photus house and office, and they find hand written notes. They contain detailed written versions of the alibi michel and of giving police. So like they practised it by writing down and then didn't throw them away.
