Anger Is a Vital Emotion in Adversity
I was sort of fascinated by what you said about anger and actually anger can have many negative consequences but can be extremely positive in the case of extreme adversity. I'm not sure that it necessarily follows that it ought to be true at a moral level or an ethical level but what the Dalai Lama was talking about was a different issue, right? He was talking about should I cultivate anger, hatred about certain people or certain situations like in the cases of Hitler in order to build motivation. The problem with anger especially that kind of sort of rage that you can build in certain situations is that it becomes uncontrollable.
