The Stuttering of a Rapist
A neighbor who was a doctor had been caring for the survivor and her children. The rapist parked his car in an open area behind the house, approximately 300 feet from the back fence. He crossed the fence and went straight to the window of the neighbor's house. Two beer cans were found outside, but they were likely drunk prior to the boy seeing him outside. At 5am someone heard a car start and drive off from the same spot out the back. Detectives believed it was the neighbor who could have been the original target. No deputies had been assigned to watch his house that night because he was taking a shower. Deputies placed on night watch out the front of homes of each suspect
