Both this and your previous book are kind of set in these chaotic periods of Chinese history. Many parts of further news of defeat many stories in that collection they dealt with experiences that my great-grandparent went through. Her grandfather was the village chief at the time. And when the Japanese came, he just shot him on the spot. So, you know, going back to these experiences, it's difficult. But, and I feel almost as if I shouldn't kind of exploit these experiences. If I don't, then who else will write about these situations as well? Who will remember these situations?"
