The Bitcoin Maximist Argument for Outlawing Cryptocurrencies

I predict that Bitcoin will be outlawed because it does pose a very serious threat to governments monopoly on the issuance of money. I don't think it's the same calculus as Uber and Lyft in transportation where they have grown to a size that it became, quote unquote, unthinkable to shut them down. By the end of 2021, either there are major, major concerted efforts by governments all around the world to dramatically regulate and potentially completely outlaw Bitcoin and other privately minted cryptocurrencies. Or we get to a point where it really has become impossible to outlaw them.
