The Sun Is the Sun

The spherical, unblinking eye and piercing cry of the eagle is solar consciousness. The ancient Celts called the eagle the one with sun illuminated eyes. In Mayan, Inca and Aztec cultures, Makaw's were seen as being representatives of the sun gods. Across Mesoamerica and South America, Makaw feathers adorned the heads of visionaries.
