The Importance of Structure in Movies
"This is the end where it's like the tone is just, we'll take anything. Just go for it," he says. "As long as the laugh is there, it fills in that hole." Apatow movies have less coincidence and anarchy than some of his other films,. But they're still pretty bulletproof in regards to react structure. Do you think audiences want this more so than the screwball? Nothing, Matt, because I feel like we do. Like do they want porkies or they want this? That's what I'm saying.
