Tory MPs Are Really Nervous

Whatever he puts forward, it has to be credible. Credible in terms of the sums adding up, but also politically credible - can you actually get this through Parliament? Tory MPs are really nervous for reasons that if you put yourself into the shoes of a Conservative MP, you would be. One option would be you junk the entire mini budget. Politically, it would destroy the Chancellor. Option two is you don't do that, but you potentially have to embark on cuts of a magnitude as suggested by the Institute for Physical Studies. And meanwhile, Labour beginning to believe that not only are they competitive again, but that that prized fore thing of economic credibility might be within their grasp.
