i had always in my life thought fire destroys in an absolute way, but then you realize in the life of the forest that fire is necessary because it perpetrates growth and change. And efire, the fire of purgatory, i suppose, it's not like god zapping fire beams or something. But it's his love. It's an activity of him that we use the metaphor to describe as fire. So it's because fire has this like person fire licks things. We have this personification, like fire is an activity that does stuff.
