Zhu Yigui, Zhu Jinying were captured and taken back to the mainland in June 1721. Lin Xuan Wen organized his fellow Changzhou comrades residing in southern Taichali district of Taiwan into a militia that would help fight against the rebels on behalf of the Manchus. The Qing military was now fully locked and loaded and heading straight for Tainan. There was ongoing friction and confrontation with the local indigenous people who came from tribes along the plains.
