I rarely really manipulate or thrust survival spines now partly because I think that is mainly unnecessary. More active interventions carries a small risk of harm and in some cases significant harm potentially reinforces attitudes and beliefs amongst patients around their neck and spine which would be unhelpful if pushed. If it's going to compromise our relationship then I'll negotiate with them and if it's safe and medically safe then it's something I'll consider and discuss with them clean.
