If you could not write for editing, what concrete practice steps could you take to improve your writing? One thing i would recommend is doing ises of style replication. Practice mimicking other styles as a way of building your writer toolkit. Could we please try to measure the effort that goes into finishing a ph d? Thesis and or a non fiction book of the same length? For example, how many articles did you read? How long did you spend talking to other scientists, going to conferences?
