Is There Something Else Required to Facilitate That Conversation
I think we're not adequately served by the institutions we have now. Organized labor or some sort of institutional power that represents the interest of labor was one of the most transformative forces and kind of turning the industrial economy into something that worked for everyone. It's hard to envision those things but we can start to imagine what those things might involve. I mean potentially you can imagine social networks technologies enabling this kind of development of a class consciousness which can be used to demand something different from others.
