The SEC's Charm Offensive

Gary Gensler of the Securities and Exchange Commission appeared to blur distinctions between tokens that might be controlled by an individual or group of individuals. The SEC is not going to veer from its position that what we could expect to see out of the SEC is continued enforcement action and no rulemaking, even among people in Gary Gensler's party. There are pathways and provisions in this discussion draft to at least try to provide a pathway to allow projects to conduct these processes lawfully.
