The Narrative World of Luke

It's really tough for most Christian readers in the Bible when it comes to the Gospels because we have four of them. Luke routinely brings his characters into these dead ends and there's a miraculous escape. Mark doesn't do that, but Luke is doing something very distinct. The question is, what's Luke doing in this world?
